Creating a New Order or Reservation
This article will cover how to make a new reservation or order. Reservation and order are the same thing, however we will use both words to describe this process.
It's important to note from the start that internally made orders are not charged booking fees. The only fees that may be associated with an internally created order are any credit card processing fees, if a credit card or debit card is used.
So you have a new order, yay! Let's get it put into the system.
There are technically three different ways to get started creating an order. You can create an order from the + icon on the top right hand of the screen from almost every screen inside WaveRez. Alternatively, you can create an order for a specific date and time right from the Matrix and Tours View. We will cover all three ways below, as well as go through the entire booking process from start to finish.
From most anywhere inside WaveRez, you will notice a + icon inside of a circle at the top right hand of every screen. This is the New Reservation button. It takes you directly into creating a new reservation, starting with the basic information tab.

*Note: If you are unable to make a specific selection, that trip day and time is unavailable. This will either be due to a reservation already interfering with that selection or a schedule that isn't setup correctly. Please make sure you visit your matrix or tour view for that day and time to make sure what you're trying to book is actually available. You may contact support@waverez.com if you need assistance with this, or reach out to us via the chat icon in the top most right corner of any page.
You can skip the basic info tab by simply clicking on the block for the trip, date, time and equipment to jump directly to making a reservation for that selection. This is incredibly helpful during the summer when you may only have 1 or 2 small spots left!

You can also skip over the basic info tab process of creating a new reservation from the Tours View. You can click the tour name under the date and time in which you're wanting to make a reservation.

Since we have covered the different ways to start the order creation process, we will start off from the Tickets/Options Tab of creating a new order.
First you would need to complete the ticket and option selection on the Tickets/Options tab.

While creating an order, you may have noticed a cart icon up in the top right hand corner of your screen. This cart has a time limit and is holding the inventory until the countdown so that no one else can book it. The cart can be accessed from any screen within WaveRez. So if you have to leave the creation process for any reason, you can get back to where you left off by clicking on the cart. You can also edit payment amounts in the cart for when you need to apply multiple cards to one order.
The cart also has some other handy features that will be illustrated in the image below. This image is large and may not be easily viewable on some screens. In order to view it up close, you can right click on the image and open it in a new tab.

If you're using a custom payment option, cash, comp ticket, or gift certificate then you will complete your order after this step and be presented with the order confirmation screen. If you're using cash/card, WR Credit Card, or card hold you will have to continue on to the next step.
If you choose a payment option that is associated with capturing credit or debit card information, such as card hold or WR Credit Card, then you will be taken to another step called the Billing Info tab. On this tab, you will fill out CC/DB information.

Congrats you've finished creating a new order. You will now be on the order confirmation screen where you will have many print options as well as tabs to check in or view the order.
