Disabling Equipment Per Day (Maintenance Mode)

Maintenance mode is used for blocking individual equipment from being able to be booked and is most commonly used to close equipment for an entire day or range of days. _If you'd like block equipment per time(s) only and not the whole day, please click here._

Maintenance mode is commonly shown on the horizontal equipment line in the Matrix View:

As shown above, Jet Ski 5 is in maintenance mode.

Maintenance mode can be set in different ways.

The simplest way is to use the toggle next to the equipment as shown in image above. This will set a piece of equipment into maintenance mode for that day only.

The second way to set maintenance mode for a range of dates is to use the gear icon next to the toggle and select a date range to close. (You can also open equipment from here):

The next way to set maintenance mode is to use Equipment Control or Open/Close Equipment. Open/Close equipment is the easier of the two controls. Open/Close Equipment is located under Settings > Calendar Controls > Open/Close Equipment. From here, you select the equipment, trips, and date ranges you want to open or close and hit edit to save the changes.

I'll combine the last two ways to set maintenance mode as they're very similar. Under Settings > Resources > Equipment and Settings > Resources > Trips > Equipment you will find a box for each equipment to set that equipment to maintenance mode by default. This maintenance mode box will be over written by any of the other methods explained above. You can use this to set equipment in maintenance mode by default and unless manually opened, it will always be closed. The only difference in these two locations is Settings > Resources > Equipment will apply to all trips that equipment is associated with and Trips > Equipment will only apply to that trip.

Please note: If you have equipment set in maintenance mode via method #4 and equipment is opened manually with any method #1-3 then you will have to manually close the equipment with any method from #1-3 in order to close that equipment again.
