How to Cancel a Trip (only part of an order)
In order to cancel only part of an order, it's important to understand the basic structure of any order. First you have the order, which has one name and one order number. In our example, our order number is GRU-848413 for Jessica Smith.
Her order contains multiple trips. Trips are most often pieces of equipment as only one piece of equipment can exist per trip. When selling tickets per person, there can be multiple tickets on one piece of equipment, and respectively multiple tickets on one trip. Each trip can have it's own status within an order. The order status shown on the top left hand of the order details screen is a simple way to control the status for all trips at one time. However, in this case we need to adjust the status of only one trip.
In order to cancel only one piece of equipment, or one trip, on an order, you have to navigate to the Trips tab once inside of a customer's order:

Once on the trips page, scroll down to view all the trips associated with this order. In the example above, we have two trips, one for each jet ski rental. Each trip on an order will always show on the trips page separated under their dark labels, as highlighted above. There can be many more trips that just 2 inside an order. If multiple tickets are sold for one piece of equipment, there can also be multiple tickets on one trip. Rental equipment will never have nor allow multiple tickets on one trip.
So in order to cancel just one jet ski rental from this order, we would set the reservation status to cancelled for only the trip we want to cancel, on the trips tab:

Once you select cancel from the drop down, click save status. This will prompt you to enter a reason, enter any cancellation fee that might apply (not typical), and offer to send the cancellation notice to the customer.
After cancelling this portion of the order, we will most likely have a balance due back to the customer and will need to process a partial refund from the payments tab:

After refunding, your order total will now match your paid amount again. All done!
