How-To: Disable Equipment by Time(s) Only

This article specifically covers how to close (disable) equipment by time only. This article should not be followed for closing equipment for the entire day or all day.

The most common way to close equipment is maintenance mode. It is shown in orange on the Matrix View. Putting equipment in maintenance mode is the best way when closing for an entire day or range of days as it's easy to reverse and allows the business to stay flexible. Click here for an article on maintenance mode.

However, if you're needing to close equipment for only select times throughout a day or range of days, maintenance mode will prevent bookings in some situations. It does this because maintenance mode acts the same as a reservation does. Nothing will be allowed to be booked that interferes with that maintenance mode (or orange on matrix) time. So if you need to close equipment for not all times in a day, you will have to follow the steps below.

Go to Settings > Calendar Controls > Equipment Control

Select the Activity (trip), Schedules, Equipment and date range you'd like to make this change to:

Click Edit and you will go to the next screen:

On this screen set Max Tickets to 0 and then click the down arrow to fill all of your selection below.

This will reduce your max tickets for that piece of equipment, schedules, and date range to 0, which will prevent bookings on that piece of equipment for that time, but won't prevent bookings from booking through that time. It is advised to go to the matrix and double check your changes after you've made them to make sure everything is how it is supposed to be.
