The Reseller Marketplace is a WaveRez feature, powered by TripShock, that lets you sell tours and activities offered by other operators and earn a commission on each completed booking, including operators who use a different booking system. It is useful when your own trips are sold out, when your equipment is down and you want to avoid refunds, or when guests ask for activities you do not offer. To use it, you sign up as a free TripShock affiliate, activate a co-branded white label booking portal, then enter that portal's username on the Reseller Marketplace page in WaveRez Admin to load your marketplace. The feature is only available to partners in markets where TripShock has an active presence, currently select Southeast US markets.
What the Reseller Marketplace Is and Who Can Use It
The Reseller Marketplace is a WaveRez feature, powered by TripShock, that lets you sell tours and activities offered by other operators and earn a commission on each completed booking. TripShock is WaveRez's sister company and an online marketplace for tours, activities, and watersports. The main advantage of the Reseller Marketplace is reach: you can book any operator listed on TripShock, even operators who use a different booking system, not only operators who use WaveRez. You can earn up to 12% commission on each booking, depending on the commission arrangement for the specific activity.
There are two ways a WaveRez partner can take part in the Reseller Marketplace. The first is as a reseller, selling other operators' tours through your own marketplace and earning commission on each booking. The second is as a supplier, listing your own tours so other resellers can sell them.
The Reseller Marketplace is available only to partners whose market has an active TripShock presence. TripShock currently operates in select Southeast US markets. If your area has no TripShock presence, the marketplace will not return any activities to sell.
Common reasons partners use the Reseller Marketplace:
Your own trips are sold out and you want to keep earning by booking guests onto nearby activities.
Your equipment is down and you would rather book guests elsewhere than issue refunds.
Guests ask for activities you do not offer yourself.
Before You Start: Sign Up as a TripShock Affiliate and Activate a White Label Portal
Two things must be in place before your Reseller Marketplace will load any products: a free TripShock affiliate account, and an activated white label portal. A white label portal is a standalone, co-branded booking page that carries your own business name and logo, hosted through TripShock. Without both of these, the Reseller Marketplace page in WaveRez Admin has nothing to display.
The Reseller Marketplace page in WaveRez Admin shows a Sign up as an affiliate button near the top, a Your username field for entering your marketplace portal name, and a list of affiliate benefits below.
Step 1 — In WaveRez Admin, open Reseller Marketplace from the left navigation menu, then click Sign up as an affiliate. This starts the free TripShock affiliate registration, which takes a few minutes to complete.
Step 2 — Activate your white label portal through TripShock. The white label portal is your standalone, co-branded booking page (your name and logo) that the marketplace books through. More details to come; a full setup guide will be linked here.
Step 3 — Once your white label portal is active, locate your portal username. The portal username is the subdomain name for your white label booking page. A helper text link on the portal setup displays this username so you can copy it.
After these three steps you have a TripShock affiliate account, an active white label portal, and your portal username ready to enter in WaveRez.
Open Your Reseller Marketplace in WaveRez Admin
To load your marketplace, you enter your white label portal username on the Reseller Marketplace page. Your white label portal is your standalone, co-branded TripShock booking page, and its username is the subdomain name for that page.
Important: Your Reseller Marketplace will not load any activities until you have both a free TripShock affiliate account and an activated white label portal (your standalone, co-branded TripShock booking page). If you have signed up as an affiliate but have not activated a white label portal yet, you will not have a username to enter and the marketplace will stay empty. The username you enter is the subdomain name of your white label portal.
Step 1 — In WaveRez Admin, open Reseller Marketplace from the left navigation menu. The page displays a Your username field beneath the text "If you are already an affiliate, enter the name of your marketplace portal."
Step 2 — Type your white label portal username (your portal subdomain name) into the Your username field, then click the arrow button to the right of the field. WaveRez loads your marketplace and displays the activities available to sell.
Your marketplace shows the tours and activities you have chosen to offer, organized so you can browse and book them.
Curate Which Products Appear in Your Marketplace
Your marketplace does not have to include every TripShock activity. You can curate it by adding or removing individual tours and activities, so your marketplace shows only what you want to sell. This lets you exclude direct competitors, limit what your staff can book, or keep the full catalog if you prefer. Your curated selection determines what appears when your marketplace loads, so any activity you remove will no longer be available to book or share.
Browse Tours and Check Rates in Your Marketplace
Once your marketplace is loaded, you can browse the available tours and activities by category. You can also use the marketplace as a research tool to check rates for activities in your area. For example, a parasailing operator can search the parasailing category to see comparable activities and how they are priced. Your marketplace only shows the activities included in your curated portal, so the results reflect what you have chosen to offer. To view full details for any activity, select the tour and a window opens with a description and information about the experience.
Book a Tour for a Guest or Share a Booking Link
When you select a tour in your marketplace, a window opens with the activity's details and description. From there you have two options.
Book it now: Click Get tickets. WaveRez opens your white label portal, which is your standalone, co-branded TripShock booking page, where you complete the reservation for the guest.
Share a link: Click the Share button to copy a link to the activity, then send it to the guest by email or text message. You can do this from a phone or a desktop. The guest then completes the booking through your white label portal.
Switch Between White Label Portals
You can change which marketplace loads if you manage more than one white label portal or you switch portals later. A white label portal is your standalone, co-branded TripShock booking page, identified by its username, which is the portal's subdomain name.
Step 1 — On the Reseller Marketplace page in WaveRez Admin, log out of the currently loaded marketplace.
Step 2 — Enter the username of the other white label portal in the Your username field, then click the arrow button. WaveRez loads the marketplace for that portal.
View Your Bookings and Commission for Reseller Marketplace Sales
WaveRez does not display your Reseller Marketplace bookings or commission. To see your bookings, earnings, and reports, log in to the TripShock affiliate program directly. Your commission depends on the commission arrangement for each specific activity, and you can earn up to 12% commission on each completed booking.
List Your Own Products in the Reseller Marketplace as a Supplier
Besides reselling other operators' tours, you can list your own tours and activities in the Reseller Marketplace so that other resellers can sell them. To do this, you join TripShock as a supplier. WaveRez users who join receive a reduced commission rate, featured placement, and reduced onboarding compared to standard TripShock suppliers. To get started as a supplier, contact the WaveRez or TripShock team. More details to come.
Troubleshooting the Reseller Marketplace
Your marketplace is empty after entering your username. This usually means a white label portal has not been activated yet, or the username entered is not the correct portal subdomain name. A white label portal is your standalone, co-branded TripShock booking page, and the username is its subdomain name. Confirm that you have completed both the free TripShock affiliate signup and the white label portal activation, then enter the exact portal username and click the arrow button again.
The marketplace returns no activities at all. This usually means your market does not have an active TripShock presence. The Reseller Marketplace can only sell activities in markets where TripShock operates, currently select Southeast US markets. If TripShock is not active in your area, no activities will be available to sell.
A specific tour you expected is missing from your marketplace. This usually means the activity was removed during curation or is not part of your curated portal. Your marketplace shows only the activities included in your portal. Review your portal's product selection and add the activity back if you want it available.
You cannot find your bookings or commission in WaveRez. Reseller Marketplace bookings and commission are not shown in WaveRez. Log in to the TripShock affiliate program directly to view your bookings, earnings, and reports.
