Reset Your WaveRez Admin Password in V1

How to reset your password if you've forgotten it or need to update it for security.

Written by Amber Dudley

Please note, your password for V1 and V2 can be different although your username stays the same.

Overview

If you cannot log in to WaveRez Admin because you have forgotten your password, you can reset it from the login screen at admin.waverez.com. The reset process is a two-email sequence: the first email contains a confirmation link, and the second email contains a temporary password you will use to log in. After logging in with the temporary password, you will set a new permanent password from inside your account. The full process typically takes 2–5 minutes depending on email delivery speed.

Before You Start

  • You must have access to the email address associated with your WaveRez Admin username.

  • Check your spam or junk folder if either email does not appear in your inbox within a few minutes.

  • The temporary password is single-use and expires after you log in with it once.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1 — Go to the WaveRez Admin login page. Open your browser and navigate to admin.waverez.com. The WaveRez sign-in screen displays a Username field, a Password field, a Forgot Password? link, and a SIGN IN button.

Step 2 — Click Forgot Password? The Forgot Password? link is located directly below the Password field on the login screen. Click it. WaveRez opens a password reset request form where you can enter the email or username tied to your account.

Step 3 — Submit your password reset request. Enter the email address or username associated with your WaveRez Admin account and submit the form. WaveRez sends a confirmation email to the address on file. The confirmation message typically arrives within 1–2 minutes.

Step 4 — Click the link in the first email. Open the email titled with the password reset confirmation from WaveRez and click the link inside it. The link opens admin.waverez.com in your browser and returns you to the standard login screen. This is expected behavior — clicking the link confirms your reset request and triggers a second email containing your temporary password. You do not log in at this point.

⚠️ Heads up — the link does not take you to a password reset form. Clicking the link in the first email returns you to the standard WaveRez Admin login screen, which can feel like the reset did not work. This is normal. Do not try to log in yet. Return to your email and watch for a second message containing your temporary password.

Step 5 — Find the second email containing your temporary password. Return to your email inbox. Within 1–2 minutes of clicking the confirmation link in Step 4, a second email arrives from WaveRez containing a temporary password. Copy the temporary password exactly as it appears, including any capital letters, numbers, or symbols.

Step 6 — Log in with your temporary password. Return to admin.waverez.com. Enter your username and paste the temporary password from the second email into the Password field. Click SIGN IN. WaveRez logs you in to your admin account using the temporary credentials.

Step 7 — Set a new permanent password. Once logged in, navigate to your account or profile settings to change your password to a new permanent one. The temporary password expires after this login, so you must set a new password before logging out — otherwise you will need to repeat the entire reset process the next time you sign in.

Troubleshooting

I clicked the link in the first email and it took me back to the login screen — nothing happened. This is expected behavior, not an error. The link in the first email confirms your reset request and triggers a second email containing your temporary password. Return to your inbox and wait 1–2 minutes for the second email to arrive. Use the temporary password from that second email to log in.

I did not receive either email. Check your spam, junk, and promotions folders. If neither email arrives within 10 minutes, confirm that the email address associated with your WaveRez Admin username is correct and active. If you no longer have access to that email address, contact WaveRez Support at [email protected] to update your account email manually.

My temporary password is not working. The temporary password is case-sensitive and may contain characters that are easy to misread (for example, a zero versus the letter O, or a one versus a lowercase L). Copy and paste the password directly from the email rather than typing it manually. If the password still does not work, request a new reset — temporary passwords expire after one successful use.

I logged in with the temporary password but cannot find where to set a new password. After logging in, look for a profile or account settings option in your WaveRez Admin navigation. Set your new password before logging out — if you log out while still using the temporary password, you will need to start the reset process over.
